Fall Fun: Village Halloween Parade and Central Park Foliage

On Halloween this year, Jane and I decided to go check out the Village Halloween Parade, which is reportedly the country’s biggest Halloween celebration, and completely free and open to the public! It stretches roughly twenty blocks along 6th Avenue, and you can participate by either spectating from the sidelines or walking in the parade itself. Millions of people attend each year! Because the parade was cancelled last year due to Hurricane Sandy, the theme this year was “Hallelujah Halloween Revival.” It was my first time ever participating in a parade, and it was tons of fun seeing so many people in costume.
